Regardless if you run a successful web hosting business with hundreds of sites on your server, or "just" a personal blog and a few sites for friends and family: If all the data on the server gets corrupted or lost and you need to start with a fresh OS install, then you are in quite some distress. Free  remote install To prevent this from happening we created the Solarspeed.net Automated Backup. It allows to back up all sites and users (with their settings!), emails, mailing lists, DNS records, the MySQL database and freely selectable extra directories that you want to archive. All that data is packed up and transferred automatically to a remote FTP server - on a schedule that you can specify through the GUI. In fact the entire backup process can be configured through the regular BlueQuartz GUI interface. On top of that you can grant your site administrators and individual users the ability to back up their own data. These backups can then be downloaded - and restored - through the GUI interface. Having a backup is of course a great relief, but the restore process should not be neglected either. Therefore our Automated Backup also comes with an easy to use and menu driven command line interface for easy restores of backups. The CLI even provides means to run a hot spare server with all data on it (on different IP addresses) and provides a menu driven shell tool to change the IPs of the server if you need to hurry the backup server into service to replace a broken primary server. To provide you with the most straightforward way on installing and using the Automated Backup, the software is available as self installable PKG file, which you can install yourself. Either through the GUI interface, or from the command line. The software "Solarspeed.net Automated Backup" can be purchased on this page. The price for a single server license is 100,- EUR. The PKG of the software will be provided upon purchase for self install. Install of the software through a RAQport.com  technician is available free of charge. If you want the software installed by one of our technicians, fill in the IP address and admin/root password during the order. Otherwhise, leave these fields empty for self installation. You will receive a copy of the PKG in both cases. After the installation a "Product Key" (a.k.a. License) is required to unlock the software. The "Product Key" can be requested through the GUI interface and will be delivered by email. If the software is installed by one of our technicians, then a key will immediately be installed with the software. The key is non transferable and binds the software to the server. In case of a hardware defect and/or replacement of the server or change of ISPs a new "Product Key" may be requested for the new server. Usually this key for the new server will be provided free of charge, but if we suspect fraud, we may reserve the right to charge for the new Product Key. A License includes free updates of the software for one year (12 Months), starting with the day of the purchase. Updates will be delivered through the YUM update mechanism or in form of an updated PKG file which can be downloaded in the member section of our website.
